baby bump session at james chabot

One of my favourite types of family sessions are baby bump sessions that involve a toddler.  It is such a special time waiting for the next little one to arrive on the scene, but it's also a time of uncertainty. How is it even possible to have enough love for another baby when your heart is already so full - and yet so quickly that is exactly what happens. It's nothing less than miraculous.

A baby bump session captures a chapter of your family's story that is often surprisingly short. Before long, the anticipation, the wondering, and the excitement of preparing for a new baby become memories. Your toddler, who is currently the centre of your world, is about to step into a brand-new role. The family dynamic you've known and loved is about to change forever.

These sessions aren't just about documenting a pregnancy. They're about preserving the connection between you and the child who made you a parent in the first place. They're about the tiny hands resting on your growing belly, the curiousity, the excitement, and sometimes even the uncertainty that comes with such a big transition.

Years from now, you'll undoubtedly treasure photographs of your newborn. But there is something equally meaningful about remembering the season before they arrived - the waiting, the dreaming, and the family you were in those final weeks before becoming something new.

A baby bump session creates space to celebrate both. It honours the child you're eagerly waiting to meet while preserving the fleeting moments with the child, or children, who are about to become big brothers or sisters. Together they tell a story that deserves to be remembered in its entirety.
